Annotation: Our planet is the product of cosmic, geological and biological forces. Last but not least, it is also the work of man, who has significantly altered the Earth's surface, atmosphere and oceans. And it has also shrouded some places in mythological narratives and great historical events. As a result of these factors, our Earth is by no means uniform. Some countries, regions or locations seem exotic, mysterious, very attractive. In this course, we want to bring some of these magical parts of the world closer. These are places that are a lot to think and dream about. We go beyond the banal information that is covered in guidebooks or geography textbooks. We try to emulate the approach of the great German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, who managed to combine poetry and truth, mythology and facts.
