Lecturer's Medallion:Mgr. Martina Winklerová, Ph.D. graduated in English Language and Physical Education at the University of Hradec Kralove and postgraduate program in Kinanthropology at Masaryk University in Brno. Currently, she holds the position of assistant professor and is a supervisor of the English language course at the Department of Economic Studies at the Polytechnic University of Jihlava. He is also a lecturer in sports activities such as swimming, spinning, yoga and pilates. In addition, he is also involved in nutritional counselling, where he uses his knowledge and experience to promote a healthy lifestyle in adults, children and athletes.
Course Outline:Yoga for Seniors is a modified form of yoga practice designed to better meet the needs and abilities of the older population. This form of yoga emphasizes gentle movements, releasing tension, strengthening muscles, and improving flexibility and coordination. It often focuses on calming the mind through breath and meditation and can be modified to accommodate different levels of mobility and health conditions. Yoga for seniors also promotes overall health, vitality and a sense of well-being through exercise that is gentle on the body and mind. This course is not therapeutic yoga. This course is not suitable for individuals with severe physical limitations.
