Yoga for seniors

Lecturer's medallion: Mgr. Martina Winklerová, Ph.D., graduated in English Language and Physical Education at the University of Hradec Kralove and has a postgraduate programme in Kinanthropology at Masaryk University in Brno. Currently, she holds the position of assistant professor and is a supervisor of the English language course at the Department of Economic Studies at the College of Polytechnics Jihlava. She is also a lecturer in sports activities such as swimming, spinning, yoga and pilates. In addition, she is also involved in nutritional counselling, using her knowledge and experience to promote a healthy lifestyle in adults, children and athletes. 

Annotation: Yoga for Seniors is a modified form of yoga practice designed better to suit the needs and abilities of the older population. This form of yoga emphasizes gentle movements, releasing tension, strengthening muscles, and improving flexibility and coordination. It often focuses on calming the mind through breath and meditation and can be modified to accommodate different levels of mobility and health conditions. Yoga for seniors also promotes overall health, vitality, and a sense of well-being through gentle exercise that is gentle on the body and mind. The course will be open with a minimum of 15-20 people.
